Hello, my name is Debbie Jones. I first came to Ludlow Infant school as a parent in 1990 and began working in the pre-school attached to the infant school in 1991. Springboard pre-school went from strength to strength and in 1998 we were thrilled when the LEA provided a purpose built nursery unit and I spent a further five very happy years working as a nursey keyworker. Having a keen interest in early years education and after further studies I finally qualified as a teacher and moved up into 'big' school! Since January 2004 I have taught in Reception and Year 1 and I have found that my previous early years experience has proved extremely useful. I have always loved working within the early years and feel very privileged to have been involved with so many young children and their families over the years in our wonderful school.
My areas of special responsibility are geography and the outside environment. In my role as the Eco-coordinator I really enjoy our after school Eco/gardening club which I run with Mrs Meyer each Monday.
I am married and have two lovely grown-up sons of whom I am extremely proud. Much of my spare time is spent on long forest walks with my other beautiful boy, Brodie my dog.
We are very lucky to have Mrs Davies who works as a keyworker in Orange Class. She is extremely experienced and has worked at our school for the past twenty-four years. In fact Mrs Davies also attended our school when she was a child and loved it so much that she came back and stayed!
