Every day each class offers before-school activities for families and their children. You may bring your children at 8.45 a.m. and stay until 9.00 a.m. sharing reading or maths activities. This is an excellent opportunity to meet the teacher and support your child’s learning in an informal way. Toddlers are welcome too. Nursery has a stay and play session at the start of each session when parents can come and interact with their children. There are after-school clubs too – computers, active kids, music, football, French, Art, gardening, cookery and dance.

Children are encouraged to walk to school or use their scooters. We have a number of scooter racks located around school and the local Travel Coordinator, Ray Hughes holds scootability training each year. Parents are advised not to use the car to bring children to school as this adds to congestion outside the school gates. If you have to use the car please park safely and do not park in Bromley Road as this is a private road and not for public use.
Most of our children transfer to Ludlow Junior School at the end of Year 2. We have strong links with the Junior school and attend many community events with them e.g. Ludlow’s Mayor Making ceremony. There are many opportunities during Year 2 where the children may visit their new school and take part in activities there. Former pupils who have already transferred there come to talk in assemblies about what to expect and what school there is like.
The Café (Children and Family Environment) is used by Children’s Centre Services for under 5 drop-in sessions every Tuesday.
Tots is a private nursery for 2 and 3 year olds. It runs Monday, Wednesday to Friday 9:00-11:00 in the Cafe.
